Tamworth Farm Recreation ground is located on the London Road and in between Mitcham and Tooting (both 5 mins walk) and directly opposite Figges Marsh, a large open space. The ground is maintained and owned by Merton Council and flanks a cemetery next door.

It offers five tennis courts with line markings for netball too. There are no floodlights but the courts are in reasonable condition and furthermore there is currently no charge to use them. They can get fairly popular during the summer months and provide a picturesque location. It's best to avoid the court nearest London Road which has a slightly uneven surface, but the other courts are perfectly playable.

Next to the tennis courts, there is a multi-use games area with seating with metal goals. This has a concrete surface and is best used for 5 a side football or general kicking around. To the other side of the tennis courts and next to the childrens' centre, there is a splashpool and playground which is very popular for the local community, particularly during the summer.
