Dymchurch is well known for its flat sandy beach which stretches for over three miles providing safe sea bathing and plenty of room to build sand castles, play beach sports or just enjoy the sunshine. The sea defence can become slippery, users are reminded to use the designated steps with handrails to access the beach.

Dogs are banned from the main beach area from 1st May to 30th September. Signs on the sea wall indicate the area covered by the Summer exclusion zone. Please clean up after your dog and use the dog-waste bins provided..

Personal Water Craft, (Jet Skis) are not permitted to be launched from the central slipway in Dymchurch. Personal Water Craft users will be aware that the Environment Agency has blocked off the public launch area at High Knock due to antisocial behaviour, vehicles being driven around the beach, and locking of the seawall. The Parish Council are working with the District Council, the environment agency and other partners to find a solution.
